Rebeca is arrested for a crime she did not commit, and Mónica, her sister, decides to take care of her baby and become his mother.

Rebeca justifies her past and claims that she wants to get her daughter back, but Mónica firmly responds that a mother is the one who raises a child, not the one who abandons them.

Mónica tells Rebeca what Aura is really like, and when Rebeca learns that it's her birthday, she decides to buy her a cellphone as a gift. However, Mónica rejects the gesture and makes it very clear that Aura is not her daughter and that she should not get involved in that way.

What seemed like a threat turns into a plea full of pain. Mónica makes it clear that if Rebeca wants to talk to Aura, she will have to tell her the whole truth, including the cruelest part of her story.

Alonso discovers the truth and confronts his father for having hidden the existence of his daughter from him for years.

Aura seeks Julia's support to prove her innocence, but her own cousin ends up sinking her even further. With her words, she reinforces their grandfather's suspicions, leading him to unjustly punish Aura and forbid her from returning to university.

Vicente confirms that Aura is Rebeca's daughter and that Alonso was just steps away from his own daughter all this time.

Aura and Rebeca miss their flight to Spain when Mónica faints at the airport after Alonso unexpectedly arrives to confront her.

Aura tells Alonso that she approves of his "friendship" with her mom. Camilo reunites with Rebeca and is ready to support her again. Rebeca reveals to Mónica the truth about the danger Aura faces in Mexico because of Silverio, Alonso's father.

While trying to negotiate with Camilo, Silverio discovers that Rebeca is still in Mexico. He decides to follow her and threatens to kill Aura. Meanwhile, Alonso reveals to Mónica that he wants to take a DNA test with Aura, while Dolores discovers that Mónica has feelings for Alonso.

The threat against Rebeca unleashes Camilo's fury. Without hesitation, he confronts Silverio and beats him down, making it clear that any harm against Rebeca, his daughter, or his sister will have fatal consequences.

Rebeca loses her composure after a disturbing phone call and decides to face the danger without anyone's help.

"Sara" arrives at the university to make sure Aura is safe. In front of her, she struggles with the urge to confess that she is actually Rebeca Olmos, her mother, but fear overcomes her and she only says goodbye before leaving the country.

Camilo stands in Rebeca's way and makes it clear that he will not allow her to get her hands dirty in her quest for revenge against Silverio. Determined to protect her, he demands that she tell him exactly what she plans to do to the man who ruined her life.

Lía discovers that Alonso has another daughter and doesn't hesitate to confront him. Amid accusations and pain, she demands an explanation for having hidden such a huge secret from her for so long.

After 18 years, Rebeca returns to her former home, but Delfino cannot hide his anger at seeing her in front of him.

After the unexpected poisoning of several diners from the shrimp, Rubén confronts Rebeca and warns her that she could go to jail if any of them dies.

Faced with problems with Delfino, Aura goes to Rebeca to express her full support and remind her that she is not alone, as she has both her and Mónica.
