Jesse treats the seriously ill sister of a former patient. Fran and Jac clash over the treatment of a patient. Raf and Fletch play cupid for Cara.
Fran escalates the campaign she has begun against Jac but this has terrible consequences. Serena finds a way to restore festive goodwill across the department. Dominic is left reeling when he discovers something about Lee.
Fran returns to Holby and is determined to get Jac's full attention. Sacha finds himself treating someone who bullied him at school. Arthur sets Morven's heart aflutter.
Selena has resigned herself to yet another lonely New Years Eve, but fate has other ideas. Ric comes back to the department with a bang, but he struggles to find his place back in the staff. Mr T has a shocking proposal for Mo.
Arthur is pushed to the limit as he continues to try and win over Morven. Zosia is offered a prestigious position in Edinburgh, but that throws her future with Ollie into doubt. Hanssen sends Dom, Morven and Arthur to a outdoor pursuit centre to try and win a grant.
Guy's career goes from strength to strength but has he realised what price he is paying. Essie is confronted with a difficult mother and son relationship which see's her personal life affect her professional life. Arthur realises honesty is the best policy.
Guy tries to regain control of the hospital from Hanssen. Arthur's ambition drives him to a strangely familiar path. Sacha tries to protect Essie so lies.. Jac tries to win against Guy in the race for funding.
Arthur doesn't know how to cope on his first day back, as his first patient is Morven's Dad. Mo and Mr T face their feeling as Mo finds out whether or not she is pregnant. A family secret is revealed and Serena finds herself caught up in it.
Tensions run high for Guy and Ollie when a medic arrives on Darwin. Serena discovers a family secret which she struggles with. Dom lands himself in trouble trying to keep a secret from Ric.
A figure from Dominic's past arrives and sets of a chain of traumatic consequences. Zosia gets over-involved in the life of a patient. Bernie Wolfe finds herself out of her depth.
Dom is struggling, as he finds out on his first day back at work, that Lee has made a internal complaint about him and he's now been investigated, even though outside of work he's been cleared by any wrong-doing by the police. Morven decides to help her father when she finds out his liver disease has progressed. Mo takes her plans to the next level.
Arthur hopes he might be a match for Moven's father as he pushes ahead with compatibility tests, he isn't expecting the life-changing news he's about to receive though. Bernie leaps at the chance of getting involved in a trauma case, but she soon breaks hospital rules, leaving Hanssen questioning whether she's ready or not. Jason's carer is involved in a minor accident, that leaves Serena questions things.
Ric fights to be able to stay in control when operating on his much-loved old school teacher. Mo is left upset when she finds out she didn't get the consultant job. Serena is in love with Robbie but feels nervous about introducing him to her family.
Bernie is foced to question what she really wants when her future at Holby is put in doubt. Ollie and Zosia's world is torn apart when a former lover of Ollie's turns up.
Morven pushes Arthur away when Austin is admitted to AAU. When Mo and Sir Dennis clash over a patient she wonders if she is paranoid or if Sir Dennis is out to set her up. Ric stops at nothing to get in touch with his daughter.
It's Arthur and Morven's engagement party and Arthur receives some life-shattering news. When an old friend is readmitted to Darwin, Adele makes a startling decision. Complications arise when Cara finally makes a move on Raf.
When Jason arrives on AAU with his seriously ill carer Allan, Serena's personal involvement affects her professional judgement. If anything happened to Allan, Jason's life would change forever. In the aftermath of the news that Arthur's cancer has progressed, Dominic is overly protective of his friend, but acting out of character proves counterproductive. Keen to impress on her first day on Darwin, Cara has to manoeuvre herself though a Mo/Sir Dennis personality clash and a song-based initiation test.
In the aftermath of his mother's death, in a long night of the soul, Jesse reappraises his relationship with his grieving father and makes a life-changing decision. When Mo's mother Ina is admitted with end-stage heart failure, Mo clashes with Sir Dennis over Ina's treatment, putting her own career in jeopardy. Ric takes the case of a patient with an injury to a very delicate part of his anatomy very seriously, but a shared interest in poker and boxing help Ric to find his own funny bone.
Arthur rallies when Morven's dad Austin is admitted with end stage liver disease. Austin needs a transplant today or he'll die. Zosia persuades a terminal patient to be a guinea pig for Jac's new stent prototype. Bernie's served with divorce papers and realises her ex is going for the jugular.
Bernie's utterly shocked when her estranged husband turns up at work, and she battles to keep her adultery a secret. New psych Naomi Palmer makes an instant impression on Fletch, and the two hit it off - much to Raf's disapproval. A fragile Zosia struggles to keep her emotions at bay as she deals with Arthur's cancer.
Arthur and Morven receive some news which leads them to question what's really important - can love win out? Mo is full of regrets when she struggles to face up to her actions of the previous night. Will she realise before it's too late that her biggest regret will actually be letting someone go? Serena is forced to reassess her working life when she makes a mistake which has devastating consequences on the hospital and its staff.
When Zosia oversteps with a patient, Oliver faces an unwelcome dilemma. As his suspicions spiral out of control, Zosia makes a gut-wrenching decision. Still bruised from the impact of her suspension, Serena returns to find Bernie helping out on AAU. However, Serena's gratitude is short-lived when she discovers the real reason for Bernie's presence on the ward. As Arthur embarks on a soul-searching daytrip, Dominic leaves him to go it alone. But when Arthur struggles, Dominic makes a rash decision.
Hanssen suddenly decides to be a hands-on surgeon on Keller, and Arthur is desperate to prove his worth. But when he has difficulty separating the personal from the professional, Arthur makes a heartwrenching decision. With the ice thawing between them, Oliver grabs his chance to get back with Zosia. However, disaster strikes when Oliver crosses a line. A secretive Raf makes a personal sacrifice when a newly empowered Fletch finally makes a date with Naomi.

Fletch is in the grip of a creeping paralysis, and Raf struggles to make the diagnosis that will save his life. Ollie attempts to tell Zosia about his relationship with Jasmine with disastrous results. Sacha and Essie come to terms with their break-up.
Dom is knocked for six by a shocking discovery about Isaac's relationship with his charismatic former mentor. Jasmine wants Jac to acknowledge her as a sister but comes unstuck when she gets what she wishes for. Romance is in the air for Ric with a feisty French femme fatale.
Mr T comes to Mo's rescue when she fears for her baby's life. Bernie makes a big decision about her future with Serena when an exciting opportunity arises. A big step in his relationship with Isaac puts Dom's friendship with Zosia at risk.
An accident in rehab sets back Fletch's recovery, but it's his attitude that proves the biggest obstacle. Can he beat the doom and gloom before pushing away those who are trying to help him? Isaac wants to impress Ric and Dom wants to impress Isaac, but when Dom sidelines his own success to help make Isaac look good they both wind up in trouble. Mo tries to befriend Inga in light of her new role as best man. Her attempts prove futile when she puts her foot in her mouth repeatedly and winds up covered in wee, having made an enemy out of Inga instead.
