The series follows Carmine, a real estate agent and interior designer, and Mike, a landscape designer, as they each pitch their design plans to clients. The budget is set, so the guys must be persuasive to score a bigger chunk of the dollars to either max out the interiors or make the most of the outdoor spruce up. More money for Carmine will mean clients get all they want and more for their home's interior, while extra cash for Mike will give the property wow-factor curb appeal and major outdoor living perks. No matter who gets the majority of the renovation budget, both the interior and exterior will get a stunning transformation.
Mike and Carmine take a little inspiration from nature and convert a family's home into a California Craftsman with an organic edge. They incorporate an earthy feel into their design, but a change in plans means working together to cover the new expense.
Mike and Carmine struggle to balance Katie and Michael's big goals for their home's interior and exterior. Carmine proposes an ambitious plan to add 1000 square feet of living space while Mike suggests an impressive design of his own for the outside.
Carmine and Mike have nothing but love for their latest project, a gut renovation for close friends Paul and Jeff; Carmine's plans are full of creative elements for the interior, but Mike won't let that outshine his plans for the outdoors.
