Comedy about the exploits of a Royal Artillery Concert Party during the Second World War. The action is set in Deolali: a British army camp 100 miles north east of Bombay.
As a result of an unlikely accident, Bombardier Beaumont becomes a lion-hearted hero and wins a medal.
It is rumoured that Gunner Graham is about to inherit a large fortune from his aunt. With the end of the war in sight, all members of Concert Party want to go into business with him.
A change in direction for the Concert Party, as they become "Aqua Stars".
The war is over and a lone Japanese soldier is occupying an island and holding up all river and road traffic. BSM Williams leads the concert party on an expedition to flush him out.
The war is over so the village people want to return to the hut which the Royal Artillery Concert Party are occupying.
The Royal Artillery Concert Party are due for demob and they start out on the return journey home.
The Royal Artillery Concert Party are back in England awaiting demob. The Sergeant-Major is determined that they will be disciplined soldiers to the bitter end.
