Shortly after, the much alive spirit of Jennifer Farrell materializes to and befriends Joey, the fourteen-year-old son of George and Susan Elliot. The series depicts Joey's misadventures, as Jennifer, who appears and speaks only to him, decides to "guide" his life.
The ghost of a playboy movie idol who once had a steamy romance with Jennifer shows up anxious to revive the relationship.
When George's father meets with an untimely death, the family regrets not appreciating the kind old guy while he was alive.
Joey is smitten with his new tutor, who Jennifer suspects is not what she appears---or disappears---to be.
Fed up with his family's patronizing attitude about his ghostly contacts, Joey demands that Jennifer prove she's a real ghost.
