What begins as a small act of kindness turns into an unexpected stay at the Kouda household. Meant to be only until spring, Kujima's clumsy warmth, soft cries, and gentle mystery quietly become part of the family's days, weaving tender, fleeting bonds.
Kouda Arata meets Kujima, a bird-like creature from Russia. Kujima starts living with the Koudas.

Kujima is introduced to Makoto, Arata's friend. Later, Kujima takes photos with the Koudas for the first time.
Kujima gets homesick and decides to go home. Arata has an idea to make Kujima feel more at home, but....?
Kujima experiences the kotatsu table and then Christmas for the first time in Japan.
To celebrate the New Year, the Kouda family gathers at Arata's paternal grandparents' home.
