La nueva telenovela de Televisa San Angel, "La Gata", esta basada en la historia original de Ines Rodena que se habia utilizado para muchas telenovelas. TV Azteca tambien realizo una version de esta historia en 2009, bajo el titulo "Pobre Diabla" y con las actuaciones protagonicas de Alejandra Lazcano y Cristobal Lander.

La nueva version de Televisa no solamente contara con una historia similar si no que los diseñadores de Televisa tambien han copiado el poster promocional de "Pobre Diabla". Si comparan a los dos posters se daran cuenta que ambos tienen un fondo azul con edificios altos. En ambos posters tambien sale la via ferrea rodeada de basura - la unica diferencia es que el poster de Azteca salen ambos protagonistas (Alejandra Lazcano y Cristobal Lander) y en el de Televisa solamente la protagonista (Maite Perroni) con su mascota.
