Fronted by footballing legend Troy Deeney and renowned football YouTuber and presenter James Allcott, Last Pundit Standing follows 12 of the UK's most passionate football fanatics, who love creating content about the beautiful game on their social media channels, as they compete to become BBC Sport's next big football content creator.
Ex-premier league striker Troy Deeney and YouTuber James Allcott are on a journey to find BBC Sport's next football content creator. From over 400 original applicants, they've narrowed it down to the final 12. We meet our wannabe pundits and find out what it would mean to them to win their dream job as a BBC Sport football contributor.
They face the first of many kick-off challenges as they attempt to hit the crossbar at Everton's Goodison Park. And they're joined by star YouTuber and special guest judge Max Fosh who sets them their first big challenge: to make as much viral content as possible in three hours, with access all areas to Premier League Brighton's stadium. We see the two losing pairs face off in the Last Stand – a brutal test of their football knowledge – after which, the loser could be sent home.
The ten remaining football content creators continue the battle to win their dream job as a BBC Sport football contributor. This time, they're being tested on their postmatch analysis skills and must watch, analyse and present to camera at the iconic Match of the Day studios in Manchester. There are three points on offer for the winner, with the loser getting nothing. And with Arsenal legend and Match of the Day regular Martin Keown on hand as a special guest judge, they'd better be on their game.
Ex-Premier League striker Troy Deeney and YouTuber James Allcott continue to guide the ten remaining football content creators through the dos and don'ts of football punditry as they battle to win their dream job as a BBC Sport football contributor. This time, our pundits are tested on their transfer knowledge, where they must take part in an as-live transfer deadline-day podcast hosted by Troy Deeney and this week's special guest judge, the BBC's senior football correspondent Sami Mokbel.
