A couple with ties to Alaska wants to find a home in the town of Kodiak where they can raise their son. Because Alaska is known for its dark winters, she wants a home close to the mountains with lots of windows and natural light. However, he wants a waterfront property with a garage where they can fish right out of the back door and have a place to store a boat and ATVs.
When a job opportunity opened in Kodiak, a Coast Guard family and their dogs jumped at the chance for a fresh start. A house with great views is a must, and they hope to be near all the great outdoor activities that Kodiak has to offer, like fishing, bear viewing and kayaking.
Jack and his wife Brianna are leaving Seattle and putting down roots in South Anchorage. The couple loves exploring the outdoors and he's especially excited to teach his son all the activities he did growing up in Juneau. An aspiring floatplane pilot, Jack wants to find a house on a lake so he can park his plane right outside the back door and take his family on remote Alaskan adventures. She, however, wants a traditional log home with a large kitchen and epic views near hiking trails. Their budget will allow them many choices, but will they find a place that has it all?
After climbing all the peaks and fishing all the lakes of Wyoming and Colorado, Nate and Arlene seek an Alaskan home with a beautiful view, a log cabin style, and an oversize garage for their outdoor equipment.
