Next Episode of Lost in Pronunciation is
not planed. TV Show was canceled.
Based on the award winning stand-up of writer and star, Ivan Aristeguieta, Lost in Pronunciation follows the arrival in Australia of a Venezuelan comedian, Ivan, whose heart is set on breaking into the local comedy scene.
Comedian Ivan arrives from Venezuela, but there's no room in the Venezuelan sharehouse where he hoped to stay. He meets Scott & Tia who invite him to stay on their couch, but he finds their language quite puzzling.
The couch at Scott and Tia's house is uncomfortable, and possibly infested with crabs. Ivan goes to several housemate interviews, but none of them work out. He returns to Scott and Tia's with bedding and a black eye.
Scott's going to Bunnings & invites Ivan to go too. Ivan has never heard of it so Tia insists on taking him & buying him a sausage sizzle. Ivan's initially reluctant but starts to come around when tomato sauce is added.
Ivan goes camping with Scott & Tia. Tia won't let him take delicious Venezuelan food; Scott's not allowed to take his coffee machine; Tia is banned from taking her mobile phone. Ivan is the only one who follows the rules.
Walking through the park with Scott and Tia, Ivan discovers that, lacking the crime gangs and armed robbers in Venezuela, Australians are instead afraid of magpies.
Ivan's wish comes true - he is offered an open mike spot at a comedy venue. But he needs to take two paying guests along, and Scott and Tia are both busy that night. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
