Lupin

“Lupin” was a very unique series for the Philippines in that it was a weeknight series that covered many different genres. This series aired Monday through Friday nights at 9PM on the GMA network and it had action, adventure, crime, comedy, drama and was a thriller all in one show. This series first appeared on the scene in the as a French crime fiction series of short stories in 1905 by Maurice Leblanc. The books main character was Arsene Lupin and then it was made into a Japanese Anime TV series titled “Lupin III” also called “Lupin the 3rd” off and on from 10 August 1967 through the early 1980’s. The character in this Filipino series is names Andre Lupin and was played by actor Richard Gutierrez.
