Math and the Rise of Civilization

In a guided tour of the historical figures, as well as how they shaped the heart of human development in this unique series. Five sets across time and around the world, we see that mathematics has played an important role in the early Indian ancient Egypt and ancient Greece, medieval Europe, and our own modern world. Computer graphics, easy and interesting mathematical formulas rather dramatic repeat of history aroused the interest of the audience.


On the 26th of April, EBS documentary, 'Math and the Rise of Civilization (producer Hyung Joon Kim)' was awarded at the 48th Paeksang Arts Awards. Taking a view at the important role of mathematics in the history of civilization through dramatic reenactments and advanced computer graphics, 'Math and the Rise of Civilization' has been recognized of its high quality and distinctiveness. 'Math and the Rise of Civilization' also received the Grand Prize at Korea Communcations Commission Broadcasting Awards in March.
