Next Episode of Max Headroom is
not planed. TV Show was canceled.
It is the day after tomorrow, and television networks rule the planet. The TV sets themselves do not turn off, and the programming is designed to keep citizens in a state of complacency. Society is in a shambles, with poverty rampant. In the shadows of the Networks, untold millions live on the streets with only a TV to their names, and many can only make their living by selling dead bodies on the organ transplant black market. The one ray of hope is Edison Carter, investigative reporter for Network 23. Edison covers the stories that matter, and he is the voice of the people who have no other. Edison, of course, winds up on the wrong side of some very bad men who try their best to have him killed. An attempt to find out what he knows by reading his brain with a computer inadvertently creates a stuttering, manic computer simulation of Edison that calls itself Max.
The hearts of the Network 23 gang skip a byte when Blank Reg is falsely arrested for airwave piracy called "zipping."
Edison's expose on a TV evangelist, who promises computer-generated life after death, gets Max kidnapped and may soon make him one of the dearly departed.
Electrodemocracy goes haywire when a politically corrupt ratings maneuver threatens to destroy Network 23.
Subscriber TV turns nightmarish when thieves who sell stolen dreams kill one of Edison's old Network 23 friends.
The death of a seasoned metrocop alerts Edison to foul play when an addicting game show starts wiping out Network 23's ratings.
A fast-food chain invents a bracelet that creates realistic fantasies for its wearers while making them crave its products.
Edison fights to keep the pen mightier than the sword when the metrocops break up a secret school used to educate the children of the Fringes.
Edison investigates a "grobag" center, a reproduction facility that gestates human fetuses---and that nurtures genetic manipulation.
