S09E01 - River Ribble, Lancashire - Barbel Air Date: 25 October 2026 06:00 -

Sorry, but right now we don't have any sources for this episode.

Paul and Bob travel to the River Ribble in Lancashire for one last fish with their little canine pal, Ted.

The beautiful river Ribble runs through the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales, onwards to Lancashire before meeting the Irish Sea in Lytham. With the river in good health, Paul and Bob hope to catch a good chub or a mighty barbel on this stretch of the water, while Ted hopes to taste Bob's Lancashire hotpot.

S09E02 - Breckland Lakes, Norfolk - Bream Air Date: 25 October 2026 06:00 -

Sorry, but right now we don't have any sources for this episode.

Paul and Bob are back in Norfolk - a bittersweet return, as this was the very first location where Ted joined them. They both reminisce about Ted and raise a cup in his memory - although Ted would have preferred a biscuit.

They head to some prime Norfolk lakes, hoping to catch a bream. It's been well documented that Bob is not a fan of the bream, but will a big catch make him change his tune?

It's Paul and Bob's birthday week, and they consider whether they may celebrate any further milestones or simply let them pass. Bob ends up throwing a surprise 70s-themed birthday party for Paul on the roof of the Blickling Estate, once owned by the Boleyn family.

S09E03 - Shetland - Trout and Pollock Air Date: 25 October 2026 06:00 -

Sorry, but right now we don't have any sources for this episode.

Paul and Bob venture to the northernmost reaches of the UK – Shetland – to fish the lochs and the seas of this remote and beautiful place for trout and pollock.

Shetland is an archipelago of about 100 islands off the north east coast of Scotland, only around 15 of which are inhabited. It feels like they have entered a very different world - and it's full of surprises for both of them.

S09E04 - River Tees, County Durham - Trout Air Date: 25 October 2026 06:00 -

Sorry, but right now we don't have any sources for this episode.

Bob and Paul are in County Durham, fishing the River Tees for a rare species of wild brown trout.

They navigate the area through the lens of a six-year-old Bob as he takes Paul on a trip along the landscapes of his youth. Bob lost his dad when he was very young, but one of the memories he holds dear to him are the fishing trips they used to go on.

Later, Bob invites their old friend Reece Shearsmith to dinner, and he has some particularly spooky local tales to tell them about the River Tees.

S09E05 - Baronscourt Estate, County Tyrone - Pike Air Date: 25 October 2026 06:00 -

Sorry, but right now we don't have any sources for this episode.

Paul and Bob travel to County Tyrone to fish at Baronscourt Estate, hoping to catch a pike of a lifetime.

They have access to two beautiful and secluded loughs, set in over 130 acres of rolling countryside, and the private use of one rowing boat – what could possibly go wrong?

Pike are wily fish, always hiding in the dark reeds and waiting to ambush their prey. Bob has a fail-safe method to try, but will the duo be able to outwit the elusive creatures?

S09E06 - Beaulieu River, Hampshire - Mullet Air Date: 25 October 2026 06:00 -

Sorry, but right now we don't have any sources for this episode.

Paul and Bob are in Beaulieu, Hampshire, to fish both the river and the adjoining Solent. They're here to fish for mullet, and later take a boat trip up the Solent to try for a smooth hound.

The Beaulieu river is one of only a handful of rivers privately owned in the UK. It's been in the Montagu family since the 18th century, and Paul and Bob have been given special permission to fish here.

Later, they are joined by their doctor friend Anand Patel for an evening tipple and an update on their health. Paul is keen to discuss his most recent diagnosis, while Bob asks Anand to examine his feet for a common sign of ageing.
