Alina, a young beauty blogger, Zhenya, a teenage pranker, Vika, an excellent student, and Kolya, a 6-year-old True Edge fan who is always asking questions, are the Akimovs' four children. Like any kids their age, they dream of being alone at home, without the supervision of their dad and mom. But when their parents get stuck in Kamchatka because of a cloud of volcanic ash, the dream becomes a reality, and the apartment is gradually overgrown with pizza boxes and dirty dishes. How long will the joy of complete freedom last? Will children be able to cope with "adult" tasks — communicate with neighbors, defeat the flu epidemic, assemble furniture and (most importantly) return the missing Internet? And most importantly, will they miss their parents?
When the parents inform Alina, Zhenya, Vika and Kolya that they are going on vacation, leaving the children alone, their joy knows no bounds. But after a few days it becomes clear that the long-awaited freedom implies not only a life without rules, but also an independent solution to all emerging problems. While the siblings are trying to figure out who will do the dishes and dust, their parents are stuck in Kamchatka because of an erupting volcano. This means that now the guys need to arrange a holiday for their younger brother and organize a pirate-style party.
One day, new neighbors appear on the doorstep of the Akimovs, who moved into the apartment from above. They make a good impression on children.: Of course, because the family did not come empty-handed! But it soon becomes clear that even seemingly perfect neighbors have flaws. Due to the constant noise from above, it is impossible to stay in the Akimovs' apartment. Vika offers peace talks, and Eugene and Alina are ready to go on the warpath.
The struggle for time in front of the TV is taking on an unprecedented scale, and Vika understands that something needs to be done about it. The girl approaches the problem responsibly and draws up a detailed schedule. But the rest are not satisfied with the prospect of having a TV at their disposal for only half an hour a day. Eugene takes a risk and comes up with a cunning scheme, and Kolya and Alina gradually become his accomplices. Now they need to be extremely careful not to get burned in front of Vika.
Eugene complains to his family about a new chemist who is not giving life to all his classmates with her pedagogical methods. The Akimovs come up with an ingenious plan — to introduce the strict teacher to their eternally dissatisfied neighbor Palych. It seems to the children that these two will get along and probably become a little kinder. For the sake of a higher goal, Eugene has to temporarily come to his senses, and little Kolya suddenly begins to show interest in experiments.
The Akimovs didn't have a good day: not only did the home Wi-Fi stop working, which only dad can set up, but also parental control was turned on on all devices. This is extremely inconvenient, because Alina urgently needs to please her subscribers, Kolya needs to complete the zoo, and Eugene needs to delete an unsuccessful photo of Vika from the general chat, which he sent there trying to make fun of his sister. What are modern children willing to do to access the Internet?
Eugene is not ready to put up with the fact that his parents did not give him money for a new video game. By the way, the younger brother suggests a simple earning scheme, and now Zhenya and Kolya have a thriving business making homemade paper knives. Alina also wants easy money and chooses a strong ally, in her opinion, Vika. The girls are trying to organize the sale of face masks. Whose business will be more successful and profitable?
Vika feels like her life is over, because she got a B. The girl in all colors represents the consequences of this event, culminating in a lonely and miserable existence without any prospects. Eugene decides to cheer up his sister and prove to her that there is nothing wrong with bad grades. But he couldn't imagine that Vika would let things take their course because of this. Will the Akimovs be able to handle their daily chores without their chief supervisor and organizer?
Vika is annoyed by the mess in the house, and Alina won't let go of the phone in any way. The girls decide to make a bet on who will last longer without their favorite activities. Now Vika is not allowed to clean up, and Alina is not allowed to touch her smartphone. Meanwhile, Kolya declares that he wants to get a dog. Given the speed at which his interests change, the boys suggest that the boy practice being the owner of a toy dog before trying to persuade his parents to buy a real one.
Kolya prides himself on his ability to unravel the plots of detective films from the very first minutes, but because of one mistake, his reputation is at risk. The boy is not going to tolerate ridicule from his sisters and brother, so he comes up with a cunning plan that will restore him to the status of the best detective of the Akimov family. But the rest of us don't like being in the middle of an investigation and having to sort things out with each other.
Vitya comes to his nephews with two pieces of news, according to the classics — the good and the bad. The bad news is that he was fired from his next job, and as part of the good news, a relative is bragging about the phone he bought with all the money he received. Even the children understand that Vitya has problems with financial literacy, but he rushes to comfort them and declares that he plans to finally become independent and open his own business. The choice falls on a petting zoo.
Vitya is crazy about his new colleague at work, but he is shy in her presence and is afraid to make the first move. The nephews advise him to be bolder and take matters into their own hands, arranging a date for his uncle. While he is trying to arrange a personal life, the atmosphere in the Akimov apartment is heating up. The girls are tired of constantly cleaning and cooking for everyone, and they want to force their brothers to take on some of the housework.
The Akimovs are surprised by Vitya's acquaintance with the famous stand-up artist. My uncle says that Alexey Shcherbakov was his classmate and they still keep in touch sometimes. Eugene decides to use this information to impress Alina's new pretty friend. He invites everyone to a grand party, where Shcherbakov himself will be a guest. But fulfilling the promise is not so easy.
On the eve of Mother's Day, the women of the Trifonov family have everything awry. The head teacher is on the verge of dismissal due to the sad situation with the director. Maria Pavlovna and Nastya quarrel: they will not decide in any way whether it is worth intervening and defending Natalia's honor. Strangely enough, they will be helped by colleagues who have become very attached to all three of them.
Alina is overjoyed: a boutique by the famous fashion designer Konstantin Adamenko is opening in the city, which requires consultants. The girl is sure that this vacancy is her chance to make her way into the fashion world. But Zhenya and Vika give their sister completely opposite advice on how best to write a resume. Meanwhile, Vitya is facing the strongest attack of hypochondria in his life. Even little Kolya is alarmed by his behavior.
Kolya suddenly realizes that it may be his fault that his parents are stuck in Kamchatka. After all, on New Year's Eve, the boy offended by them wished that he would never be prevented from playing on the tablet. Now he is trying his best to change his desire, and the other Akims, seeing the frustration of the youngest family member, decide to cheer him up and repeat the celebration of the New Year, despite the fact that the end of February is on the calendar.
