Outlander: Blood of My Blood explores the lives and relationship of Claire's parents, Julia Moriston and Henry Beauchamp, and Jamie's parents, Ellen MacKenzie and Brian Fraser. The series centers on these two parallel love stories set in two different time periods, with Jamie's parents in the early 18th-century Scottish Highlands and Claire's parents in WWI England.
At the request of the Grants, Ellen undergoes a test to prove her worthiness to marry into the clan.
All the highland clans attend the Earl of Mar's annual hunting event at Braemar Castle, where the Earl makes an inflammatory proclamation.
Ellen prepares for her wedding day, while Julia attempts her escape.
The fiery crosses have been lit across the Highlands. The call to arms brings friends and enemies home and the Jacobite Rebellion begins in earnest.
Brian and Ellen help their clans prepare for the coming rebellion, with varying levels of success. Julia and Henry learn more about the stones at Craigh na Dun from unexpected sources.
