Against the background of the conflict, Katya has a short-term loss of vision, she turns to an ophthalmologist for help.

Igor refuses to meet with his mistress, Yana, who turns out to be Ruslan's wife. At the same time, Katya visits a doctor again, who advises her to refrain from playing until the surgery. However, Katya realizes that this is impossible, as tennis is her only source of income.

Igor is forced to admit to his family that he has been secretly training Katya all this time, and he also answers his daughter's question about her professional skills in tennis. His wife suggests that they live separately for a while. Later, Igor learns that Roma has helped Katya find a sponsor. Pasha decides to change his style and lifestyle to compete with Roma, but he once again notices his girlfriend getting into the major's car.

Igor is taking Katya to a tournament in Sochi, which will play a crucial role in her future career. To cover the expenses, he turns to Yana for financial assistance, as she is also planning to travel to the Black Sea. Upon learning of Strelnikov's departure, Ruslan becomes suspicious of the coincidence and hires a man to monitor his wife. The man provides Ruslan with photographs of Yana and Igor.

Yana visits the Streltsovs' house to tell them that she has decided to become his sponsor in his coaching work with Chernova. Afterwards, they go to Yerofeyev's club to persuade the athlete to break off her commitment with Maxim. Maxim is not willing to let go of his profitable investment so easily and reveals the details of their agreement to Yana, which causes her to withdraw for thought.

Ruslan becomes aware of Yana's possible connection with Streltsov. After a new examination, Katya's doctor concludes that only an experimental surgery performed by only two surgeons in Europe can help restore her vision. Moreover, he forbids any physical activity. Katya decides to say goodbye to her past life and burns all her tennis equipment.

Igor regains consciousness in a box, on which the earth is thrown. He is called by Ruslan and asked to answer honestly the question about the connection with Yana. He speaks about the infidelity, for which he receives a temporary forgiveness. However, Ruslan demands that he return the money that his wife lent him in a short time. Upon learning about this, his wife offers help, but Igor believes that he has no right to involve them and his daughter in his problems.
