With exclusive access to the UK's leading dog welfare charity, Dogs Trust, this series will see Pete meet the four-legged friends that call it home. From the moment the dogs are rescued, Pete will play an instrumental role in their rehabilitation process, right up until the point the dogs are safely rehomed.
Pete helps rescue six Chihuahuas from the home of a hoarder and witnesses the emotional handover of a pregnant pug and her sister.
Pete meets Chow Chow Nugget who has a longer stay than planned, three-legged Tetley, and some Belgium Malinois puppies training to be service dogs.
Pete meets Keira, a dog on the brink of starvation, and gentle old Jack Russell Paige, whose owner had to make the heartbreaking decision to give her up after 15 years.
