When will be Pistols 'n' Petticoats next episode air date? Is Pistols 'n' Petticoats renewed or cancelled? Where to countdown Pistols 'n' Petticoats air dates? Is Pistols 'n' Petticoats worth watching?

Pistols and Petticoats was a very clever sitcom, capitalizing on the success CBS had with the durable western, Gunsmoke and the more lighthearted rural antics of The Beverly Hillbillies, Green Acres and Petticoat Junction.

Set in the late 1800s, the show starred Anne Sheridan, Carole Wells, Douglas Fowley and Ruth McDivett as the Hanks family of Wretched, Colorado. (Daughters, Grandfather and Grandmother) The foursome could out draw and out gun anybody in the wild west. The ladies were always crack shots and Grandpa was right on target -- when he could find his spectacles. They frequently came to the aid of the dim but earnest sheriff of Wretched, Harold Sikes (Gary Vinson). Horror legend Lon Chaney, Jr. also appeared in a few episodes as a comical Native American chief.

Sadly, star Ann Sheridan passed away from liver cancer after appearing in only 21 eisodes. Five more episodes were filmed but with the show's star and main attraction now deceased, Pistols and Petticoats got the axe after only one season on the air and 26 filmed episodes.
