MVD Captain Aglaia Mezentseva and investigator Vsevolod Kosinsky, one of the best specialists in child abduction cases, are unraveling the case of the missing 5-year-old grandson of world-renowned conductor Mark Kretchetov. The child mysteriously disappeared during a walk with his nanny, and the woman herself was hit on the head and lost her memory. Literally all members of the Kretchetov family fall under suspicion, and Kosinsky spares no one in his pursuit of results. Aglaia disapproves of Kosinsky's methods, but nevertheless becomes his best student. The more Aglaia untangles the web of complex family relationships and financial machinations within the Kretchetov family, the more she has to sacrifice – her peace of mind, her career, the lives and feelings of others. And even put her unborn child at risk.
The famous conductor Krechetov learns about the disappearance of his grandson Grisha. The case is being investigated by operatives Kosinsky, Lyudov, and Mezentseva.
Kosinsky suspects the boy's nanny, Mira, of being involved in the kidnapping. Mezentseva is attacked.

Mezentseva is convinced that Grisha was kidnapped because of the money in his accounts. The boy's mother is plotting revenge against the Krechetovs.
Ludov carries out an operation to detain Mira, who is wanted. During the interrogation, the woman makes an unexpected confession.
