not planed. TV Show was canceled.
Based on a true story, the drama tells the tragic love story of Kim Woo Jin, a married stage drama writer, and Yoon Shim Duk, Korea's first professional soprano, who meet while studying at Tokyo University in the 1920s. Yoon Shim Duk's recording of "Death Song" became the first Korean pop song in 1926.
While planning to stage new Korean plays in Joseon, Kim Woo Jin meets music student Yun Shim Duk, who wonders why he'd risk doing so under Japanese rule.
Shim Duk worries about Woo Jin after him being absent for a few days without any notice. The play is in danger when a few police agents barge in...
Shim Duk wants to know about Woo Jin's dream and decides to go with the theather troupe to visit his family home in Mokpo, where a surprise awaits her.
While Sim Duk's family found Sim Duk a husband, she heads to Mokpo to beg to Woo Jin to not let her go. Woo Jin starts to rebel against his father when he found out that he's still writing literature.
Woo Jin's family finds he hasn't come home. Sim Duk gets a recording contract and Woo Jin resolves to live for his writing -- and for the woman he loves.
Both Woo Jin and Shim Duk are fleeing to Japan to avoid their own hardships. While Shim Duk makes her records, they both came to a decision that would shock the entire country of Joseon.
