One mistake in the documents for the apartment turns the life of the Malyutin family upside down - thanks to her, the apartment raider Baev appears in their house, who gets the right to use a share in real estate and begins to survive the owners of the only housing. Strictly within the law, but far beyond the bounds of humanity. Now Malyutin has to find out whether it is possible to defeat a professional neighbor on his own territory and which will be stronger: Baev's legal savvy or a family with nowhere else to go.
The professional neighbor, Baev, is an experienced property raider who moves into an apartment in a Stalin‑era high‑rise with the incomplete Malyutin family. Baev begins to drive the Malyutins out of their only home, using legal but inhumane methods.
To protect themselves from a predatory neighbor, the Malutins ask their neighbor for a guide dog, but the experienced apartment raider is prepared for anything.
Baev, upon learning that Nadezhda is a local pediatrician, fakes the calls and sends Nadezhda to all the seedy places in the area — from brothels to sectarians.
Alice decides to trigger a severe allergic reaction in Baev. Baev mysteriously warns about a surprise he is preparing for the Malyutins.
Alice decides to draw attention to their eviction by winning an MMA fight. Baev continues to create unbearable living conditions for the Malyutins.
Nadezhda treats Baev to breakfast and, for the first time, talks to him as if he were a real person.
The morning in the Malyutin apartment starts more intensely than usual — Baev has become more active. He turned the music up to an unbearable volume, waxed the floors, and took the doors to the toilet and bathroom off their hinges.
Borya and Alice notice Nadezhda's strange behavior and interpret it as a nervous breakdown after the fire.
