The new school year brings the freshman class of young designers in the inaugural season of Project Runway Junior (#ProjectRunwayJunior). This next generation of up-and-coming fashionistas, ages 13 to 17, will be mentored by Emmy® Award winner Tim Gunn who co-hosts alongside supermodel Hannah Davis. Kelly Osbourne, designer Christian Siriano and executive fashion editor at Cosmopolitan and Seventeen Magazine Aya Kanai, serve as judges to determine who will make the grade. Actress Bella Thorne joins panel as guest judge for the final challenge.
The designers must create a high fashion look worthy of Milan Fashion Week; the designer who wins this week's challenge also wins a trip to Italy.
The designers must create an editorial look inspired by street art murals; the designers give it their all to make it to the finale.
The final designers head home to create collections for the finale in Los Angeles; one more elimination looms.
The teen designers put the final touches on their collections before showing in front of a live audience at FIDM Los Angeles; the winner is chosen.
