Next Episode of Rescue Dog to Super Dog is
not planed. TV Show was canceled.
In this brand new series, six dogs are selected from rescue centres around the UK and paired with six people with disabilities. Aided by two of the country's top dog trainers, the aim is to transform these canine companions into brilliant disability helper dogs. But with just 12 weeks to bond, live and train together, can their lives be changed forever? Specialist dog trainers Jo-Rosie Haffenden and Nando Brown have been scouring the kennels of the Dogs Trust and Battersea Cats and Dogs Home, assessing over 100 different waifs and strays for their suitability.
In this first episode, Emily, who's 26 and lives in London, has narcolepsy and cataplexy. A debilitating symptom of the sleep disorder is she can collapse up to 30 times a day.
This episode features 12-year-old Dom, who has muscular dystrophy, and Enola, also 12, who suffers from Morquio syndrome. Nando gets Dom hooked-up with a beautiful Dalmation called Daisy. Will she be able to learn the tasks that could transform Dom's live? Enola is matched with a toy poodle called Teddy - small, fluffy, very, very cuddly - and possibly the perfect match for Enola.
Paula, who lives in Manchester, has a faulty immune system, while Ellie, is a second year student with cerebral palsy. Paula has been using a wheelchair for over 20 years and is independent and lives on her own. A dog would not only be able to help her with challenging daily tasks, but would provide her with invaluable companionship. She's matched up with a Staffie called Stanley. Ellie loves the idea of rescuing a new dog as the support she so desperately needs as she becomes an independent adult. But is a rescue puppy Zamba really the answer?
