Return to Amish finds ex-Amish rebels Abe, Jeremiah, Kate, Rebecca and Sabrina back in the Amish world to face marriage, pregnancy, birth and the lingering consequences of shunning. Abe's parents, the rule-bending Amish matron Mary and the strictly religious Chester, serve as their hosts. Mary and Chester have struggles of their own that put them in a precarious situation. Their daughter Katie Ann has a big decision to make, and their son Andrew, just out of jail, adds fuel to the fire by bringing his opinionated English girlfriend, Chapel, back home with him. Sabrina and Rebecca are both expecting babies, Kate is anxiously awaiting the career opportunity of a lifetime, Abe and Andrew's sibling rivalry is reignited through new clashes, and Jeremiah must put it all on the line to find happiness.
A new season begins with Mary getting a new start, but she'll need everyone's support to make it succeed. Meanwhile, Kate continues to navigate the New York City fashion world; and Sabrina has an emotional reunion with Abe and Rebecca.
Everyone takes a road trip to New York City to surprise Kate and revisit old memories; Jeremiah reveals his long distance relationship to Sabrina; Mary secretly sends for help from Punxsutawney.
Mary brings her youngest daughter to New York City and Rebecca reacts negatively; Abe decides if the cost of his impending dental work is worth compromising his Amish beliefs.
Sabrina overcomes nerves to speak in front of a college class; tension escalates between Rebecca and Sabrina; Esther makes a deal to experience English life.
Mary makes an Amish meal as an attempt to bring peace and togetherness to the group. Meanwhile, Jeremiah hangs out with his kids in New York City; Rebecca discusses her bakery job with Abe; and Sabrina has a special date.
An Old Christmas celebration brings the cast back to Pennsylvania. Meanwhile, Kate gets bad news about her internship; and dinner is interrupted by a confrontation between Jeremiah and Kate.
Kate goes to Los Angeles for a chance to make a name for herself at Fashion Week; Mary mulls her fate in Pennsylvania; Abe and Rebecca make a decision about his teeth; Sabrina gets news about her daughter's custody; Jeremiah makes an announcement.
