First stop is a back-to-basics Suffolk cabin, where shared toilets and Pot Noodle sandwiches are followed by a five-star city break to Budapest, where they sample the famous outdoor baths and take a champagne cruise up the Danube.
Millionaire couple Nigel and Sue go on two very different holidays in Fuerteventura with hard-up single mum Sharon and her son Jordan, contrasting a basic self-catered apartment with a luxurious five-star hotel. First, the foursome embark on low-cost activities, like hiking up a volcano and a pub quiz, as Nigel and Sue start to realise the best things in life are free. Switching to the rich holiday, Sharon and Jordan can't believe the world of wealth they are walking into - with dune buggies, fine food and jet skis making it an incredible experience.
Wealthy lawyer friends Paul and Sophie go on two very different holidays in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon with hard-up best pals Mel and Karen. Their first break is in a hostel that is basic, but does boast a huge adult-sized ball pit to cavort in, before they head to a boutique hotel, one of Lisbon's more luxurious retreats.
Successful DJ Bonnie and her husband Paul join forces with best friends Tegan and Maria for two contrasting holidays with very different budgets in French ski resort Alpe d'Huez. After a week on the slopes will they have as much fun on the second half of the break in a couple of low-cost camper vans further down the mountain?
