Rock & Roll Road Trip with Sammy Hagar presented by Mercury Insurance is an original series from AXSTV, featuring Sammy Hagar (a.k.a. the Red Rocker) as he drives across thecountry to interview and jam with some of music's biggest names including TommyLee, Bob Weir, Alice Cooper, Nancy Wilson and more. The series also presentsHagar's personal experiences and rules of the road, as he tours with his newsuper-group, The Circle.
Season two kicks off in Hagar and James Hetfield'shometown where they turn the camera on the star-studded 3rd annual Acoustic-4-A-Cure – the benefit concert they founded.The concert event, at the world-famous Fillmore Theatre, is one of the year'shardest tickets to score and is open to TV audiences for the first time on AXSTV. During the one-hour premiere Hagar interviews Hetfield, Joe Satriani, John Mayer and Melissa Etheridge -- leading into epic jams with Hagar, Hetfield, Mayer, Tommy Lee, Satriani,Etheridge, Pat Monahan, Vic Johnson and more
Join Sammy as he flies to Norman, Oklahoma to hang out with Toby Keith. They visit Toby's restaurant and then do an interview and an acoustic performance at Toby's 160-acre ranch.
Sammy drops in with Cheap Trick's guitar god Rick Nielsen in Chicago to talk rock history. He then heads to Denver, Colorado, to play the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre with his band The Circle (Michael Anthony, Jason Bonham & Vic Johnson).
