Next Episode of Roll Out is
not planed. TV Show was canceled.
In an attempt to cash-in on the success of M*A*S*H, this rarely funny sitcom was stuck into the line-up. Loosely based upon the film "Red Ball Express"(1952) and set during WWII, "Roll Out" attempted to comment on race relations the way M*A*S*H was commenting on Vietnam.
We meet the men of the "Red Ball Express" a mostly black Army transportation unit based in WWII France. In the debut episode we see how Sweet honors a fellow driver's his last wish by organizing a New Orleans-style funeral.
Sweet gets an honorable discharge after he sprains his ankle
Ed Begley, Jr.(Lt. Robert W. Chapman)
Val Bisoglio(Capt. Rocco Calvelli)
Mel Stewart(Sgt. B.J. Bryant)
Stu Gilliam(Cpl. 'Sweet' Williams)
