Teenager Ruby O'Reilly and her father Daniel are ready for a fresh start when they inherit an orchard in the town of Emerald. When Ruby discovers an old wishing well on their land, she becomes the newest well keeper. Now, it's up to Ruby to grant the unfulfilled wishes of the townspeople. Using empathy, kindness, and a lot of grit, Ruby and her best friends Sam and Mina work to make every wish come true in Emerald.
After missing an important family event, Ruby is racked with guilt. Worse, she receives a wish too awful to grant! Luckily Mina and Sam take over and manage to supply Ruby and her dad with a much-needed bonding opportunity.
Ruby and Sam join forces to help someone "feel love again". But after the wisher is discovered, a misunderstanding leads to a possibly disastrous revelation. Now, they must figure out what the wish really means and grant it
Multiple red herrings lead Ruby to believe that a wisher wants to get rid of rivals for Daniel's affections– including her mom's memory. That is a step too far for Ruby! That is, unless Ruby is wrong about the intent of the wish
