Following her grandmother's death, agronomist and winemaker Ángela Herrera returns to Montealegre, where she discovers that her family was robbed of a valuable formula that turned El Embrujo de Rosa into the region's most prestigious wine. Determined to reclaim her family's legacy, she joins forces with Tomás Sarmiento, the grandson of Vicente Sarmiento, the Herrera family's longtime enemy. As they set out to uncover the truth, Ángela captures the heart of Mariano, Vicente's right-hand man and the fiancé of Lucero, a young woman who was adopted by Ángela's grandmother.Amid secrets, rivalries and divided loyalties, love and the search for truth will put everyone's future at risk.
Mariano confronts Ángela and accuses her of abandoning Doña Rosa while she was alive. Hurt by his words, she demands that he not judge her and confesses that her grandmother's death pains her deeply.
After reading her grandmother's diary, Ángela confirms that Vicente took advantage of her to obtain the secret of the wine. Outraged, she confronts him and warns him that she will not rest until she recovers what belongs to her family.
Ángela opposes having the marriage proposal at Doña Rosa's house, while Lucero confesses that she has doubts about marrying Mariano.
Tomás confesses to Ángela that there is something about her that captivates him and ends up stealing a kiss from her, unaware that Mariano is watching them, full of jealousy.
Ángela discovers mysterious symbols on the palm trees in the vineyard and, upon learning that they were drawn by her grandfather, suspects that they could be the key to revealing the secret of the wine.
Mariano confronts his mother and demands to know what is really going on between her and don Maximiliano after hearing Josefina's accusations.
Mariano questions his mother about the possibility that Maximiliano is his real father and suspects that this is why Ulises abandoned them, but Josefina slaps him and vehemently denies everything.
Maximiliano knows he must stop the relationship between Antonia and Julián, so he is forced to reveal the secret he has kept for years: Julián is also his son, the result of his affair with Juan's wife.
Julián confronts Maximiliano, convinced that he made up the story about being his father to separate him from Antonia, while someone steals Ángela's grandfather's writings with the intention of destroying them.
Amparo is shocked to discover that rumors are circulating in Montealegre that Juan was behind the deaths of his three wives.
Mariano admits that kissing Ángela was a mistake, but Filo discovers that they spent the night together and makes her son realize that Ángela sees him differently. Even so, Mariano knows he must respect Lucero, the woman he has chosen to start a family with.
Convinced that he wants to love her, protect her, and build a future by her side, Tomás asks Ángela to give him a chance and agree to be his girlfriend.
Margarita runs into Vicente Sarmiento again, the man she blames for destroying her family by falling in love with her mother. Face to face with him, she does not hesitate to make her deep hatred for him clear and warns him that she will not allow her daughter Ángela to get involved with his grandson.
Tomás makes Margarita a tempting offer, proposing that she turn the sale of the house into her best weapon for taking revenge on Vicente.
Tomás humiliates Mariano, calls him a parasite, and boasts that he will soon be able to kick him out of Doña Rosa's house. Before leaving, he makes it clear that this time, he has won.
Margarita discovers that Lucero inherited all of her mother's assets and vows to contest the will.
Lucero does not want to keep Doña Rosa's house, but Mariano reminds her that it was her final wish.
Mariano confronts Ángela over her rejection, but she makes it clear that he brought her contempt upon himself by treating her as an enemy.
Tomás is desperate because much of the grape harvest has been lost, leaving the vineyard without enough raw materials to meet its commitments. Faced with the crisis, he begs Ángela to win Mariano over and discover the secret of El Embrujo, as the future of the vineyard is at stake.
Lucero discovers Mariano's lie about Ángela and, filled with doubts, confronts him for hiding the fact that he was alone with her.
