Popular weekly general knowledge quiz made by Anglia Television for ITV from 1971-82 billed as 'From Norwich - It's the Quiz of the Week'. Hosted by Nicholas Parsons with prize voice-overs from John Benson, the show's star prize was usually a car. Satellite channel Sky revived the show in a daily format in 1991-3 (based on the Australian format) hosted by Peter Marshall. It was on this series that a contestant called Simon Cowell took part. It was then produced by Grundy Productions for two series for Challenge TV 1997-99, with Keith Chegwin (pictured) as host, with Robin Houston providing the prize voice-overs.

Sale of the Century has also been running in Australia since 1980 (produced by Grundy Productions) and has now produced some 4000+ editions on the Nine Network.
