Audiences will step inside Sarah's life with husband Alex and daughters Robin and Fiona as they travel across the country to transform the property into an efficient and profitable, four-season luxury vacation rental. It's a massive undertaking as Sarah juggles the demands of managing a "back to the studs" renovation on the west coast while running her design business in Toronto and raising two kids.
Sarah and Alex's renovation project continues to go over time and budget; they fully gut the second floor living, dining and entertainment spaces; scheduling issues and an unexpected design pivot to the fireplace jeopardize the floor.
Despite the roadblocks along the way, Sarah Richardson and her husband, Alex, are almost ready to open their Whistler, British Columbia, vacation rental. But the last piece of the puzzle is figuring out what to do with the self-contained apartment used as Haus Heidi's Caretaker's Suite. Complete with hot water tanks in the middle of the room, a less-than-private bathroom, and a complete lack of function, the unit desperately needs a full overhaul.
