Take a peek inside some of the country's most stunning properties, as three judges travel the length and breadth of the nation in search of Scotland's Home of the Year.Architect Michael Angus, interior designer Anna Campbell-Jones, and lifestyle blogger Kate Spiers will visit some truly unique homes over the course of the series, looking for stand-out design and impressive interiors.From Arran to Aberdeen and Boat of Garten to Coupar Angus, there's a vast array of property styles to consider, from renovated period farmhouses to innovative contemporary builds. The regional heats take place over seven 30-minute episodes, building to the one-hour final in which Scotland's Home of the Year is decided.
In the south, the judges must choose between a new build eco house in Dumfries and Galloway, a former milking barn with contemporary extension also in Dumfries and Galloway and an historic renovation on the outskirts of Peebles.
Scoring them on architectural merit, distinctive design and original style, which home will Anna, Michael and Banjo judge worthy enough to go forward to the grand final?
In the Highlands and Islands, the judges must choose between a Finnish kit house in Fort William, a self-build in the Isle of Skye and a historic croft house conversion, also in Skye. In the west, the judges must choose between an Edwardian renovation in Glasgow, an extended 1950s bungalow in Kirkintilloch and a converted Victorian villa in Greenock.
It's the grand final! The judges - interior designer Anna Campbell Jones, architect and lecturer Michael Angus and Mull-based guest judge Banjo Beale have travelled the country in search of Scotland's home of the year. It's now down to the final six homes – the winners of each regional episode – to go head to head. But only one of them can be the winner of the prestigious title.
