SEC on ABC on November 21, 2020, ABC aired its first SEC regular season game since 1995, Florida–Vanderbilt, which was moved from ESPN due to the postponement of an ACC game (Clemson–Florida State) that was originally expected to air on the network due to COVID-19 pandemic complications.On December 10, 2020, ESPN announced that it had acquired the top-tier rights to the SEC under a 10-year, $3 billion contract to begin in the 2024 season; ABC will hold rights to the top SEC game of the week (replacing CBS). As before, they will primarily air in the 3:30 window, but there will also be the possibility for games to be carried on Saturday Night Football. ABC will also hold rights to the SEC Championship Game. During the Disney upfronts, ESPN unveiled an SEC on ABC branding for these games.

The No. 21 Sooners (3-1, 0-1 SEC) make their maiden voyage to Jordan-Hare Stadium for a tussle with the Tigers (2-2, 0-1). Oklahoma dropped its initial SEC game, 25-15 to then-No. 6 Tennessee in Week 4. Auburn comes off a 24-14 setback to Arkansas.
The No. 5 Bulldogs try to bounce back against the Tigers. Georgia has won 49 of its past 52 games overall, with all three losses coming to Alabama following a 41-34 setback Sept. 28. Georgia is 7-0 versus Auburn since the 2017 SEC championship game.
The 2024 edition of the Red River Rivalry pits the Longhorns (5-0, 1-0 SEC) against the Sooners (4-1, 1-1). Oklahoma has won five of the last six meetings after Nic Anderson's late TD catch gave the Sooners a 34-30 win over Texas last year.
