Next Episode of Second Chance (1977) is
not planed. TV Show was canceled.
"Second Chance" premiered on ABC in 1977. There were three players. The host, Jim Peck, would ask 3 questions, to which the players would write down their answers without showing them to anyone. Peck would then say the multiple choice answers, and offer a "second chance" to anyone not willing to stick with their original answer. If you got it right the first time, you'd get 3 spins; use a second chance and you'd get one spin. The 2nd round consisted of the players taking their chance on a giant board with 18 flashing squares, and one at a time, they would push the "plunger" down to stop the squares. Many squares contained cash and prizes, but some squares contained Devils, little red creatures who would take away all of that player's earnings.
If you're wondering why this sounds strangely familiar, it's because CBS would take the format, revise it, and turn it into the '80s megahit "Press Your Luck!"
