A team of celebrities train for a cross-channel relay swim in support of Stand Up To Cancer, under the coaching of Olympic swimmer Keri-anne Payne and adventurer Ross Edgley.
The celebrities face their first open water experience. Arg goes on a diet, Alex struggles with a shoulder injury, and an ambulance is called for Tessa after a brutal sea swim.
The remaining celebrities must face their fears if they are to qualify for the cross-channel swim. They tackle their first night swim in Loch Lomond, enduring darkness and gruelling temperatures. Emotions are running high as the team is pushed to the limit, and each swimmer must decide if they are ready to face the challenge ahead.
The day of the cross-channel swim is approaching, and after 12 weeks of gruelling training, the experts decide which of the celebrities is up to the challenge of undertaking a 22-mile relay to France. The team must work together and brave harsh weather and the limits of their own endurance to complete the crossing.
