Six Nations Rugby Season 2022 Air Dates

S2022E01 - Scotland v England Air Date: 05 February 2022 16:00 -

Sorry, but right now we don't have any sources for this episode.

Rugby's oldest rivalry resumes in the opening round of this year's Six Nations as Scotland aim to take another scalp against arch-enemies England at Murrayfield.

Scotland have been much improved in this fixture in recent seasons, culminating in their historic Calcutta Cup triumph at Twickenham in 2021. England, though, prevailed in awful weather conditions during the most recent meeting in Edinburgh a year earlier and will have revenge firmly on their minds.

Gabby Logan presents.

S2022E02 - First Weekend Special Air Date: 06 February 2022 18:00 -

Sorry, but right now we don't have any sources for this episode.

Ugo Monye presents highlights from the opening weekend of the rugby championship, featuring the Calcutta Cup clash between old enemies Scotland and England.

Scotland earned a historic win at Twickenham in last year's tournament, and although England have triumphed on five of their past six visits to Edinburgh, they were aiming to bounce back from a disappointing fifth-place finish in 2021.

In Dublin, Ireland were looking to carry on their impressive form from the autumn, when they opened their campaign against reigning champions Wales, while pre-tournament favourites France took on Italy in Paris.

S2022E03 - Wales v Scotland Air Date: 12 February 2022 13:15 -

Sorry, but right now we don't have any sources for this episode.

Gabby Logan introduces live coverage from Cardiff, with Wales taking on Scotland as the second round of the Six Nations gets under way.

The last time the Scots visited Wales, in 2020, they emerged with a first victory there for 18 years in a tight encounter in Llanelli. However, the Welsh gained revenge with a thrilling 25-24 win in Edinburgh 12 months ago on their way to capturing a second title in three years. With both teams harbouring expectations of winning this year's championship, another tight encounter is expected at the Principality Stadium.

S2022E04 - Second Weekend Special Air Date: 13 February 2022 18:00 -

Sorry, but right now we don't have any sources for this episode.

Ugo Monye presents highlights from the second weekend of the rugby championship, featuring England's trip to Rome to face Italy.

The Red Rose triumphed 41-18 at Twickenham last year to extend their winning record against the Azzurri to 28 matches. That result, however, was one of only two victories for Eddie Jones' side in last year's tournament as they slumped to a disappointing fifth-place finish.

In Cardiff, defending champions Wales are looking for revenge against Scotland, who won on their last visit to their Celtic rivals in 2020, while France faced Ireland in a blockbuster clash in Paris.

S2022E05 - Scotland v France Air Date: 26 February 2022 13:25 -

Sorry, but right now we don't have any sources for this episode.

Gabby Logan presents live coverage from Murrayfield as Scotland aim to win a third successive Six Nations match against flamboyant France for the first time since 1958.

This has been a fiery fixture in recent seasons, with red cards issued during the last two meetings, including Scotland's historic victory in Paris in 2021. It was their first win on French soil this century and denied France the title, despite Scotland being reduced to 14 men after mercurial fly-half Finn Russell was sent off.

Scotland were also victorious in Edinburgh in 2020, when France forward Mohamed Haouas was red-carded in the first-half for punching Scottish flanker Jamie Ritchie.

France, though, began this tournament as favourites to secure a first championship since 2010, while they won on their most recent visit to Murrayfield in the 2020 Autumn Nations Cup.

S2022E06 - Third Weekend Special Air Date: 27 February 2022 18:20 -

Sorry, but right now we don't have any sources for this episode.

Ugo Monye introduces highlights from the latest round of the always-enthralling rugby championship, with England gunning for revenge against reigning champions Wales at Twickenham.

Wales were the surprise package of last year's championship as they claimed a 28th title. Their tournament included a controversial 40-24 triumph in Cardiff over Eddie Jones's side to secure the Triple Crown, along with their biggest points total versus England.

In the weekend's other two matches, Scotland are aiming to beat France for a third successive time in this championship for the first time since 1958, while Ireland are expected to win convincingly against Italy in Dublin.

S2022E07 - Wales v France Air Date: 11 March 2022 19:30 -

Sorry, but right now we don't have any sources for this episode.

More compelling Six Nations drama is anticipated at the Principality Stadium as Wales host France in a rematch of last year's brilliant and breathless advertisement for the game.

Last March, 13-man Wales were cruelly denied a fifth Grand Slam in 16 years when France full-back Brice Dulin applied the coup de grace with a winning try in the closing seconds. Wales still won the title but the pre-tournament odds this time around favoured the French.

Presenter Gabby Logan is joined by studio guests Martin Johnson and Sam Warburton, while commentary comes from Eddie Butler.

S2022E08 - Fourth Weekend Special Air Date: 13 March 2022 18:15 -

Sorry, but right now we don't have any sources for this episode.

Ugo Monye introduces highlights from the penultimate and pivotal round of fixtures from the Six Nations, including England's blockbuster clash with Ireland at Twickenham.

Eddie Jones's England side will be desperate to make amends for their disappointing showing against the Irish in Dublin last year, in which they were on the wrong end of a heavy 32-18 defeat. It was only the second time Ireland had scored 30 or more points against the Red Rose.

In the weekend's other two matches, Scotland travelled to Rome, chasing a seventh successive Six Nations win over a beleaguered Italy, while Wales welcomed pre-tournament favourites France to Cardiff.

S2022E09 - Wales v Italy Air Date: 19 March 2022 13:45 -

Sorry, but right now we don't have any sources for this episode.

Gabby Logan presents live coverage from the Principality Stadium as Wales seek to end their Six Nations campaign in style against Italy.

The beleaguered Italians have finished bottom of the Six Nations table in each of the last six tournaments, and it will be an uphill battle for them here against the 2021 champions – you have to go back to 2018 for Italy's last Six Nations try in Wales, and two years ago they suffered a 42-0 defeat in Cardiff.

Wales have never lost on home soil to Italy, but their record isn't perfect – in 2006 there was a rare draw when this fixture finished 18-18.

S2022E10 - Fifth Weekend Special Air Date: 20 March 2022 19:05 -

Sorry, but right now we don't have any sources for this episode.

Ugo Monye presents highlights from the final round of fixtures of the Six Nations, including England's colossal clash with France in Paris.

The English will be hoping for a repeat of 2021, when a late Maro Itoje try secured a 23-20 victory at Twickenham, but the last time Eddie Jones and his side crossed the Channel it was the French who ran out 24-17 winners.

In the weekend's other two fixtures, Scotland travel to face Ireland, seeking their first win in Dublin for more than a decade, while Wales welcome perennial wooden spoon winners Italy to Cardiff.
