Need a classic car? If you're in Miami, where old-time autos fit in perfectly with the city's glitz and glamour, Ted and Robin Vernon are the people to see at South Beach Classics. This husband and wife run Florida's largest classic car dealership, where they buy, sell, trade and exchange unique cars from a lot that houses more than 300 of them. Their outgoing personalities mesh seamlessly with the colorful collectibles they move each day, helped by an eclectic shop crew affectionately dubbed "the gargoyles."
Ted has been wanting to go to Cuba for a long time but it still too early, so he does the next best thing, he goes to Little Havana just 15 minutes from his place. He buys a 53 Chevy from a young guy who works at a cigar shop.
Ted loses a bet w/Marcus, so Ted has to hire ad agency. The agencies first order of work is to stop the phone book ads. Ted has 360 cars but not one of them is a Ted car! He buys a drop top Rolls Phantom. Ted sells a 1962 190 SL and buys a Hot Pink Jeep.
Ted decides to try his luck at the GAA Auction. He brings three cars to sell, a Dale Jarrett 1980 Ford, 1967 Sunbeam Apline, and a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. No guarantees of success at an auction, always a guarantee that Ted will run into his car friends.
Dealership has more problem cars than normal, Ted has to leave the problems with Marcus and Lucy because he is off to the Carlisle auction. Sloshing around in the rain Ted buys a Nash and a classic Chevy, 50's Dodge Pick-Up.
