Ethan is a good kid born on the wrong side of town. In Cape Town's slums where local gangs make the law, he is soon left with no choice but to work for one of them to support himself and his younger brother. Caught in a web of crime, he discovers he has an incredible talent for spinning, an exciting and extreme motorsport. The Underdogs are living the spinning dream in Jo'burg, but Ethan's past begins to catch up with him. While a street race with rising driver Sayi lands them in jail, Hercules sets his revenge in motion.
Freed by the powerful Maseko gang leader Ma Sithole, the Underdogs begin to fall apart. Amber leaves Ethan, and the new Amahle grows closer to him. Meanwhile, Ma'Sithole prepares one final heist that divides her family.
