Next Episode of Starlings is
not planed. TV Show was canceled.
Starlings follows the lives of a typical working-class brood who live near Matlock in Derbyshire. Granddad has recently moved in, following a rabble-rousing incident at the old folks' home. Rather than see him unhappy, Terry and his warm-hearted wife, Jan, decide to move his father in to their already crammed family home.
It's Jan's first day at college on a creative writing course and her initial trepidation swiftly turns to enjoyment when she develops an instant rapport with her handsome and charming new lecturer Stephen. Meanwhile Terry's patience as foreman on a new building project is severely tested by his new boss, and Granddad and Gravy unearth buried treasure in their own back yard.
Fergie hits upon a yet another ‘brilliant' business idea aimed squarely at the ever-growing glamping market and drags a reluctant Loz and Gravy along to a creepy farm to gather the necessary equipment. Meanwhile, at a routine visit to his GP, Terry is warned of his dangerously high blood pressure, and Bell and Reuben struggle to find some alone time while Reuben's parents stay over at their already cramped flat.
With Charlie's injury calling time on her football career she forms a band with some friends to take her mind off it all. But it soon becomes apparent she hasn't the tact, not the patience to deal with the pretentions of singer/songwriter, Dev. Meanwhile Terry is stalling on a promise he made to Jan thirty years ago regarding his vasectomy, and Bell and Reuben make a startling discovery about Zac.
After weeks of planning, Fergie's campsite is finally open for business, but when the first campers arrive he finds his ‘oasis of calm' quickly shattered. Meanwhile, in an attempt to cheer up Granddad, Terry and Loz take him on a fishing trip, and over at Peak-a-Boo's, Jeremy's ideas for a night of slow tempo love songs is not going down well with Coggie.
It's the opening night of Rodney's Bistro and he's a bag of nerves. Luckily Terry and Charlie are there to keep his spirits up. But, only a week after his vasectomy, Terry is struggling to even stand up, let alone hide the real reason for his discomfort from everyone. Meanwhile Jan is off on an overnight writing seminar at a nearby hotel, and Granddad and Brian prepare for their blind date with a couple of ladies they met on the website.
Terry is desperate to talk to Jan about Rodney's job offer in Majorca but Jan won't even consider it until Terry talks to Gravy. Fergie's got problems too as his mother shows up unannounced, and just as Jan's woes seem to be abating, she learns Charlie has also gone behind her back and is with Loz learning how to ride a motorbike after realising she couldn't afford a car.
As the family desperately try to carry on as normal after Terry's heart attack, Jan begins to worry she may have lost her husband forever. Meanwhile, Granddad enlists Brian's help to draw up a pro's and con's list after Molly asks him to take their relationship to the next stage, and a visit to the Starlings house from Stephen takes Terry's mood in an entirely different direction.
It's the day of Bell and Reuben's wedding and Charlie is facing her own trauma – wearing a dress. But as the girls get ready at the house the boys find themselves locked in Reuben and Bell's first floor flat with no escape as time ticks on. To top it all Reuben still needs a best man and Fergie and Fraser are battling for the position. Meanwhile Granddad comes face to face with Molly's husband and Gravy confronts the truth that's been playing on his mind for weeks.
