Seeking a profound change from their present way of modern life, each participant contemplates the possibility of converting into Amish society, as they navigate drastically different routines and a culture defined by faith, discipline, simplicity and community.
Six outsiders flee the chaos of the modern society for a chance to join the Amish community, but harsh rules and culture shock ignite instant conflict. With both sides refusing to bend, tensions erupt into a standoff.
The English outsiders face the realities of Amish hard work, while a secret from someone's past threatens their place in the community.
A sudden departure rattles the group. Esmeralda faces harsh judgement during her Amish makeover, and Kendra's heartbreak pushes James to break one of the biggest Amish rules.
Esmeralda confronts her fears about identity amidst her Amish transformation. Aaron struggles without his hearing aids, and Allen plays matchmaker for Billie Jo. Then a shocking return leaves everyone on edge.
