Year 1958. Begoña Montes flees through the forest with little Julia, her stepdaughter. Begoña is the new wife of Jesús de la Reina, the golden widower of the region, owner of an important toiletry products company, Perfumerías de la Reina. Begoña runs with the girl, when Jesús catches up with them and shoots them in cold blood. Has he hurt Begoña? What happened to make Jesus lose his mind and shoot his own wife?
Begoña is angry with Jesús because of the visit to her mother behind her back. María wants to leave charity, but she does not want to disappoint Andrés. Digna, against the family farm being mortgaged, talks about it with her children. The priest inquires about the possible presence of "deviants" in the colony. Isidro is still very hurt with Fina and refuses to accompany her to the cemetery for her mother's anniversary.
After what happened with Mateo, Damián takes a stand against his son Jesús, who in turn is angry with Begoña for having turned to Andrés.
After their night together, Luz and Luis gradually resume their relationship, for now, only friendship. Begoña discovers something important about the book she found in the attic. Someone from Marta's past arrives at her family home to further complicate things between her and Fina. Jesús continues to feel far from his father, who takes a stand on Andrés' side in the face of an unforeseen event at the factory. Andrés decides to support Begoña by accompanying her to the sanatorium to see her mother. Andrés assures Digna that Damián (and the entire family) is committed to not losing the family farm. Claudia tells Mateo that she will attend Carmen's wedding with all of her misgivings assuaged. Angela reconsiders her son's wedding and reveals a secret that changes Tasio's life.
Angela thinks Damián should tell Tasio the truth. Jesús confronts Begoña believing that she is the one who has problems conceiving. Jaime's return causes a lot of tension in Marta and puts her relationship with Fina in danger. Luis is afraid to resume his relationship with Luz. Digna is worried about Fina's relationship with her father. During the celebration of Carmen and Tasio's wedding, Claudia discovers something that can change the course of her life forever.
Jesús does not accept his sterility problem and avoids Begoña. María asks permission to have the market at the factory. Joaquín meets Gonzalo, a man who is applying for the new operator position. Claudia is very afraid to tell that she is pregnant: neither her mother nor her friends can know. Damián tries to understand why Marta and Jaime's marriage is not working. Tasio is worried about knowing who his biological father really is. Isidro and Fina break up their relationship. Jaime goes to meet Luz, making her worry about her future at the dispensary.
Jesus decides to investigate his paternity. Luis decides to put limits on his relationship with Luz. Marta, following Damián's warnings, takes another step with Jaime. Digna worries about the relationship between Fina and Isidro, especially now that he has health problems. Joaquín strengthens his relationship with Gonzalo, the new operator. Luz talks to Damián about Jaime's possible permanent return. Claudia is increasingly fearful about her motherhood and also about the fact that her child is Tasio's. Gaspar wants to protect the colony from an imminent wave of robberies. María fears that she will not be up to par with the market and she does not want to disappoint Andrés.
Jesus, now that he knows the truth, begins to treat Julia differently. Claudia, unable to reveal her secret, begins to distance herself from her friends. Marta meets Fina to go to Madrid and give free rein to her love. Tasio takes a first step in the investigation into his biological father. Gonzalo gains the trust of the Merinos and becomes interested in the launch of Anhelos de Mujer. Digna discovers that Isidro is not taking care of her illness and confronts him. Furthermore, the driver is still angry with his daughter.
