There is no Next Episode of The Biggest Loser planned.
Season 12 kicks off with two new trainers - internationally renowned tennis star and certified trainer Anna Kournikova and top fitness expert Dolvett Quince - joining "Biggest Loser" favorite Bob Harper, and 15 contestants competing in a "Battle of the Ages" that will group contestants by age for the first time ever in the history of the show. Host Alison Sweeney tells the teams that they will make their first game-changing decision - who their trainer will be - in the order in which they finish the first challenge. Once each team chooses their trainer, "The Battle of the Ages" begins. The new contestants include Vinny Hickerson, who overcame a difficult childhood to become a successful Nashville recording artist, Antone Davis, a 447-pound father of four and former NFL player for the Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons, and Bonnie Griffin, a 63-year-old grandmother of six who lost her home to Hurricane Katrina and lost her husband not long after.
This week, the contestants learn that the gym will only be open three times a day, and each team will only have one two-hour time slot daily to work out. A donut temptation will help determine which team gets what slot, and then players have to learn to squeeze in their daily workouts just like in real life. Dr. Huizenga meets with contestants and their trainers for some sobering news about their medical conditions, and one player is shocked to learn what his real inner age is - and that he is the sickest person at the ranch. Then all the teams use their weight to move a ball through a maze over water in a wild challenge that proves to be way harder than it looks. Later, another player is sent home after the weigh-in yields a very surprising number for one contestant.
It's a NFL week at the ranch, and the competition to be the Biggest Loser of the week is fiercer than ever with the weigh-in winner getting an amazing prize - a VIP trip for two to the Super Bowl! Host Alison Sweeney reminds the contestants that if they want to be the best, they have to beat the best at a football throwing challenge in which they compete alongside Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews, New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and Atlanta Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez. One player really struggles emotionally this week, while another remains determined despite being partially sidelined with an injury. There's a grueling, calorie-burning competition among the three teams led by trainers Bob Harper, Anna Kournikova and Dolvett Quince. And later, Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow, Buffalo Bills linebacker Shawne Merriman and Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson help put the contestants through last chance workouts they'll never forget before a tense weigh-in reveals which player gets the coveted Super Bowl tickets.
This week, the contestants are surprised by three special guests - past season contestants Hannah Curlee, Adam Hurtado and Marci Crozier, who each visit and inspire the team that represents his or her respective age group. Then all the players are off to a wild weather challenge in which they have to race while battling the elements - including wind, rain and snow - to win coveted letters from home. The winning team receives an unexpected and very emotional bonus prize. Later, trainer Bob Harper takes his team to the pool for last chance workouts, where one player tries to overcome his fear of the water, while trainer Dolvett Quince pushes his team to new heights in the gym and trainer Anna Kournikova takes her team to a favorite spot - the new "Biggest Loser" tennis court. In the end, the losing team at this week's weigh-in must decide who will be going home.
One player is chosen to go home this week with their trainer, and get the coveted prize of immunity. But the prize doesn't look quite as desirable when the chosen contestant learns that their weight will be the only weight that counts for their team this week. Meanwhile, the players left at the ranch race through a maze to fill a large cylinder with soda in a night challenge that gives the winning team a great "pay it forward" prize. While the trainer who left the ranch devises grueling workouts for their player and worries about the fractured team they left behind, another trainer gets angry with a contestant who is constantly hiding behind humor. And one player boldly confronts her trainer about the way she is being treated. Later, another contestant is sent packing after a tense weigh-in reveals whether the player who went home lost enough to keep their team safe.
For Halloween, the contestants face a crazy candy temptation and a very spooky challenge, while host Alison Sweeney and trainers Bob Harper, Anna Kournikova and Dolvett Quince get in the spirit by dressing up in Halloween costumes. First, the contestants learn they'll all be playing as one team this week and if they collectively lose 100 lbs., everyone will be safe for another week. A cauldron of candy hanging on a Biggest Loser scale tempts the players all week in more ways than one - for every pound of candy eaten, a pound will be deducted from the amount they all need to lose, up to 10 lbs. This week's challenge finds players racing through a haunted maze trying to collect as many apples as possible, with another weigh-in advantage - and disadvantage - hanging over them. With the trainers working out all of the players this week, one contestant has separation anxiety, and one trainer is not amused when the contestants play a Halloween trick on him. Plus, a big secret shared by two contestants is revealed. Later, one player ties a Biggest Loser record on the scale before another contestant is sent home.
The competition shakes up this week when contestants change teams and trainers in a high-stakes, calorie-counting challenge that will determine who each player's trainer will be for the rest of the season. After the teams are re-aligned, dramatic confrontations follow between some players and trainers as they all try to adjust to their new reality. Later, the new teams face their first challenge together - racing down a water slide on a hill to unscramble block letters that reveal the winning team's prize. Trainers Bob Harper, Anna Kournikova and Dolvett Quince each take their teams off the ranch to spice up their last chance workouts, and later, an especially emotional elimination follows a weigh-in revealing noteworthy results from the trainer/team switch.
This week, only one contestant's weight will count for each team, and trainers Bob Harper, Anna Kournikova and Dolvett Quince get to choose which player will represent their teams. The competition heats up with a cooking challenge in which players and their trainers have to race against the clock to prepare a healthy and delicious low-calorie dish for two special judges - season 11 "Biggest Loser" winner Olivia Ward and "Biggest Loser" cookbook author Devin Alexander. Prizes for the winning team include something very special from home. Dr. Huizenga drops by with a special medical guest to visit with the players and give one contestant some very welcome news. And later, the weigh-in reveals whether each trainer chose the right person to represent their team before an elimination leaves one player feeling very betrayed.
The competition heats up as host Alison Sweeney tells the remaining seven players that they will be competing in a pentathlon - and they can only rely on themselves because this week, the game goes to singles. Contestants will earn points in each of the five events, which will test everything from speed to strength to nutrition knowledge. The pentathlon winner gets the coveted prize of immunity, while the loser gets a weigh-in disadvantage. The players get a very special surprise when eight-time Olympic medalist Apolo Ohno arrives to lead the contestants through their final event, motivating them each step of the way. Also, one of the trainers reveals details about their difficult childhood to a contestant who is struggling with trust issues. And later, the weigh-in is followed by the most emotional elimination of the season so far.
The contestants start their week with a holiday food temptation involving Thanksgiving favorites and amazing prizes, including a coveted 3 lb. advantage. Later, trainers Bob Harper, Anna Kournikova and Dolvett Quince prepare a healthy Thanksgiving dinner for the players, and everyone shares what they are most thankful for, with one trainer sharing a surprising revelation. Then it's the toughest challenge of the season so far with an outdoor, one-mile high climb on Jacob's Ladder treadmill climbers. The top finishers win special prizes with a "Pay it forward" twist. Later, one contestant does something considered uncharitable by the others, leading to friction at the elimination table before another player is sent home.
In this eagerly-anticipated makeover episode, the five remaining players head off to a luxury spa to get pampered before shopping for stylish new clothes in Beverly Hills with fashion maven Jeannie Mai. Then in-demand Hollywood hairdresser Ken Paves crafts stylish new looks for the contestants before a limousine whisks them away to see Cirque Du Soleil's "Iris." But before the show begins, each player gets a heartwarming reunion with a loved one flown in to celebrate their big day and see their amazing transformation. Later, back to reality and the ranch, the contestants weigh in and one more is eliminated, leaving the final four players of the season.
The stakes are higher than ever when all the contestants return to the same spot where they had their first challenge to compete in a marathon. For the first time in the show's history, the contestant who wins the race automatically becomes a finalist, eligible to compete for the $250,000 grand prize. But there's extra incentive because the first five players who finish the race will also get to split $50,000. The only way to guarantee a spot in the finals is to either win the marathon - or be one of the contestants who stay above the red line at the weigh-in. In the end, the three finalists of season 12 will be revealed.
In this must-see, exciting live finale, the contestants from this season return for a special reunion and a chance to weigh in one last time - and show America how much weight they've all lost since beginning their weight-loss journeys. Those who have been eliminated will compete for the $100,000 "at home" prize. Then it's the moment viewers have been waiting for, when one of the three finalists will be named this season's "Biggest Loser" and win the coveted grand prize of $250,000!.
