The Daily Life of a Part-time Torturer

Sero, a part-time employee of the torture contracting company Spirytus, is hard at work again today dealing with a stubborn villain. His reward is time spent smoking cigarettes alongside his dependable senpai Shiu. And just when they were struggling with a shortage of manpower, two new employees, Mike and Hyuu, arrive.

With advice from Sero and Siu, Mike and Hugh improve little by little and deepen their friendship as fellow junior workers. Meanwhile, Sero is playing pachinko on his day off when he gets a call from Siu saying, "Get here in five minutes." He rushes to a corner of the city only to find...

"So our company president is unusual then!" What truth about the beautiful company president, Hela, will Mike's innocent comment reveal? And why do full-time employee Noe and Sero always snarl at each other? Then, when Sero, who is usually so passionate about his work, takes some time off without giving a reason...

Mike is thrilled to be assigned a "korokke" case. After work, Fon the ragman drops by. Fon is friendly, but his smile hides a danger that makes even Sero wary of him. On a different day, a suspicious person is caught wandering in front of the company door, but it turns out to be Sero's younger brother, Luc. But why did he come to the company?

Hugh frets over a report for his Modern Torture Studies course. On the advice of his friend Las, he decides to talk to Sero and the others about it. When he does, he suddenly finds himself in the First Heart-Pounding Torture Quiz Tournament! Then, on another day, all the Spirytus employees and part-time workers head to the beach together! Siu suspects that Hela might be up to something.

After finishing up a book that he'd been having trouble writing, Mike enjoys cleaning after a torture session. Then, a cleaner named Rische shows up. Rische, wearing full protective gear and a gas mask, is quite shy, but seems interested in Mike. Later, a torture request and kill request overlap in a double booking. Manika, the contract killer who shows up for the job, is Sero's ex-girlfriend.

When Sero sees a university pamphlet for Modern Torture Studies in his younger brother Luc's room, he feels shaken. Before he's able to find a good way to bring it up, he and Luc head into town to do some shopping where they happen to run into Siu. On a different day, Siu takes Sero to see his daughters' elementary school recital. Siu fits in with the mothers there to a truly amazing extent.

When a villain faints before he can be tortured, Izua, a doctor, rushes to his aid. While he's there, he says he'll check on Hela and Siu, too. Later, Mike injurs his finger and Merim, a nurse, treats it for him. Merim is a girl who speaks through her stuffed toy, Amumu, and...

With the cherry blossoms in full bloom, the four decide to have a flower-viewing party after work. But then, some urgent cases come in. On a different day, Mike and Hugh make a huge mistake at work after getting too excited because of the presents they received from their mentors. Von asks the dejected pair a question—Do you have things you believe in?

Usually, the employees of Spirytus work as torturers, but just for tonight... they transform into princes?! The four go to work at NOX, a host club that Hera is on friendly terms with and where Sero used to work. Then, on a different day, Siu and the others try some of a mysterious canned drink and their appearances transform into that of children causing a huge panic!

Mike and Hugh devote themselves to their studies using the devices lent to them by Belta's shop. One day, Sero is injured in a retaliatory attack by a dangerous organization, and for some reason, Siu is furious with Sero. In the midst of all that, the full-time and part-time employees all go on a company trip to an onsen! Mike asks Siu about something he's been wondering about for a long time.
