Robert Taylor was one of many Golden Age movie stars who made a foray into series television with this crime drama which ran for three seasons and 97 episodes on both ABC and NBC. Taylor played Captain Matt Holbrook, the head of a special squad of detectives in New York City. Tige Andrews, Mark Goddard, Adam West, and Taylor's wife, Ursula Theiss, were some of the co-stars. Episodes of the first two seasons, which aired on ABC, ran for 30 minutes in length but when the show shifted to NBC for its third and final season the length of the episodes increased to one hour.
