Next Episode of The Job Interview is
Season 1 / Episode 1 and airs on 25 October 2017 22:00
The Job Interview takes an inside look at the world where the words you say, the clothes you wear, and even the expression on your face can mean the difference between success and failure. Each half-hour episode of this observational series brings viewers into the room as a real employer conducts real interviews with real candidates – only one of whom will land an offer.
In this episode, Blacks Vets bosses Tracey and Val from Dudley are interviewing for a pedigree receptionist. Managing Director Tracey admits they're 'pretty ruthless about finding that right person'. Desperate to impress and win the job of their dreams are 27-year-old Emily who wants a better life/work balance after quitting teaching, and 24-year-old David, who's struggled to find a job and support his family.
Charlie and Daniel from On Air Dining, who provide an exclusive culinary service for the private jets of multi-millionaires, are looking for a concierge coordinator to manage their clients' needs from their base at Stansted Airport. The ideal candidate will be someone who can think on their feet and work well under pressure, and who has a passion for food.
This series takes viewers into the heart of one of Britain's last 'secret spaces': the interview room. It's simple and authentic: real candidates competing for real jobs, filmed in microscopic detail, capturing every nuance. From a teenager looking for their first job to a single mum returning to work and an OAP seeking independence and self-worth, the process is the same. Nerves are tested and emotions run high, as the candidates know the only thing standing between them and the job is themselves. Jacqui O'Donovan, managing director of London-based waste disposal company O'Donovan, and her right hand man, Richard Clark, are interviewing for an executive assistant.
Real candidates battle it out against each other in pursuit of real jobs, filmed in microscopic detail to capture every nuance. In the final episode of the series, car hire company Planet Leasing from Leigh-on-sea in Essex are expanding and looking for a new salesperson. Bosses Gary Rose and Darren Nash want to employ someone who is 'confident, presentable and a fantastic communicator'. Keen to impress and win the job of their dreams are 52-year-old Mark, who has already applied for over 800 jobs, and 40-year-old part-time cleaner Tina, who wants to fulfil her potential. Others up for consideration are 51-year-old Jayne, who's been made redundant and finds the job market a minefield, 25-year-old fashion graduate Romilly, who is ready for a new career challenge, and 50-year-old door-to-door salesman Kevin, who says he has the integrity and honesty for the job.
