Next Episode of The Julekalender is
not planed. TV Show was canceled.
The Julekalender is a Christmas story about three "nisser" who have to go from the North Pole and back to the cave in the Norwegian province of Trøndelag to find the life melody of the head nisse who is about to die. However they have to watch out for the evil "Nåså", who during the series comes to live with a potato farmer nearby. The series is based on funny lines containing dialect or a mix between Norwegian and English. The lines are repeated in episode after episode, and if a good line occurs, one of the nisses will say "Hey, that's a good vending (phrase). Maybe we can use that in another episode!" The show is a copy from the danish "The Julekalender" (1991).
This year we will once again have fun with the story of the goblins Fritz, Hansi, Gynter and the potato farmers Gjertrud and Olaf Sand. The Julekalender was shown on TV 2 for the first time in 1994, and the non-traditional Christmas calendar was a great success.
At Olaf and Gjertrud Sand's home, Christmas carols are sung and decorated for the big holiday. Between the household chores and all the Christmas decorations, Gjertrud Sand loves to talk on the phone. Something that is duly commented on by her husband, the potato farmer Olaf Sand.
The gnomes Fritz, Hansi and Gynter are working hard to straighten the propeller of the plane, so that they can get home with the key to Gammel Nok's music box.
It is once again ready for the boot dance on Norwegian TV screens. Gynter starts the legendary dance, much to the delight of the other two goblins.
The Sand family is about to have dinner, but they show great hospitality to the stranger - even if he is behaving strangely.
Potato farmer Olaf Sand joins the mysterious stranger, Benny, out to look at his car. The car is gone, and Benny invites himself to stay with the Sand family for one more night.
In the gnome's cave, Gynter suffers a minor accident. This suits Fritz very badly, because it means that the work on the propeller of the flying machine is postponed.
Gynter soon finishes the propeller, and the goblins prepare to make the flying machine ready for take-off.
The elf Hansi disappeared. Olaf Sand, for his part, has found a strange map in the forest, and otherwise spends a lot of time playing solitaire.
Gjertrud loses her temper and Hansi finds a picture of a mysterious person in the elf's cave.
The propeller is finished, but not working, and Benny has disappeared.
The goblins Fritz and Hansi wake up to an unpleasant surprise: Gynter has been knocked down and the Great Book of Wisdom has disappeared.
Gjertrud decorates the whole house with glitter, and the gnomes find out that Gynter can be a tracking dog.
The goblins despair, while Benny begins to sense what enormous possibilities are hidden between the covers of The Great Book of Wisdom.
The potato farmers are preparing for a party. It's Benny's birthday, and of course it will be celebrated with cake. It will also be home-roasted for the coffee.
It is the following day at the home of the potato farmers Olaf and Gjertrud Sand, and Benny is the one who has it the worst.
The goblins try to steal The Great Book of Wisdom back from Benny, but then they have to go home to Gjertrud and Olaf Sand. And it is not without problems.
In the elf's cave, Fritz, Hansi and Gynter's spirits are at an all-time low. Both Benny and The Great Book of Wisdom have disappeared.
In the goblin's cave, the mood is still at zero after the failed attempt to steal back the Great Book of Wisdom. The potato farmers, however, are in high spirits.
Benny wakes up with a headache and has difficulty remembering what happened yesterday. He is furious when he discovers that the Great Book of Wisdom is missing.
An injured Benny returns to the potato farmers after he tried to blow himself into the goblin's cave. Everything did not go quite as he had hoped.
It is clear that Benny is going to spend Christmas with Olaf and Gjertrud Sand. In the gnome's cave, on the other hand, it is moving towards departure. But there is still something to solve before Gammel Nok is saved.
In the penultimate episode, Gynter finishes the propeller for the flying machine. Fritz gives him a medal for long and faithful service, and the goblins get ready to go home to Gammel Nok.
Gjertrud has decorated the walls and ceiling, and she does everything she can to ensure that everyone has a good time. However, Benny has trouble getting into the right mood, no matter what Gjertrud does.
