When Vikram returns to his castle in Belgrade, Serbia and discovers that it is now a museum, he inadvertently releases magic across the continent. With the help of a new team of eclectic heroes, including a savant in world history, a scientific genius, and a highly skilled Guardian, Vikram has only six months to clean up the mess he made.
While the rest of the team is away on a Library retreat, Charlie receives a call on a mysterious toy phone from a child trapped in a haunted house. To save the child, Charlie must enlist the help of original Librarians Jacob Stone and Cassandra Cillian.
The Librarians must help Vikram's long-lost love Anya unravel a mystery from the past -- through letters sent across time -- before the magical events she faces in the Victorian era ripple forward with consequences for the future.
