The New Perry Mason is a revival of the long-running hit television series about Erle Stanley Gardner's brilliant defense attorney. (This short-lived series is not to be confused with the long-running series of TV movies which starred Raymond Burr and Barbara Hale from the original series).
Perry Mason, that great criminal lawyer is back in business. The first case involves an astrologer named Junius who fears for his life. The seer hires Mason for he suspects Nancy, his wife, is intent on killing him. Junius wants his wife commited to a sanatory for her erratic behavior. Corinne Warner, a cosmetics line owner, is angry with Junius as he threatens to reveal her past. Milo, a rival astrologer has discredited Junius before Corinne. Then Junius is found murdered and Perry must expose the culprit before Nancy is sentenced for murder.
Religious crusade is background for blackmail and murder when Mason defends a young girl. A blackmailer tapes a scandalous photo beneath the bible of a popular evangelist (Richard Hatch).
Mason defends a mechanic in his retrial for the murder of a prominent physician.
When two men, one wanted by the law and the other by a crime syndicate killer, exchange identities, the result is murder.
Duped investors (Keenan Wynn, Mary Ann Mobley, Richard Anderson) plan a murder, for which one is arrested four years later.

Mason defends the fiery and beautiful editor of women's lib magazine on a charge of murdering the publisher who gave her job to another woman.
Private detective Paul Drake goes undercover as a prison convict to help Perry Mason develop the evidence needed to prove that his client, a prisoner at the penitentiary, did not call one of the guards.
Chance meeting with beautiful young girl leads Mason to become her defense attorney when she's arrested for murdering the brother of an aging architect who's been committed to a mental institution.
