Upon their arrival there, they soon discover that almost all the guests have been scared away by supposed sightings of Bigfoot. Wanting to help the lodge owner out while being snowed in, the gang offers to investigate and discover that a group of car thieves used the bigfoot legend to scare people away in order to keep their racket going.

Not long after investigating, they soon discover who the "ghost" is and why he wants the airfield.

The gang is on their way to visit Hagglethorn Hall. Fearing they're not going in the wrong direction and getting low on gas, they stop and ask a local farmer if they're headed in the right direction. Upon their arrival, they discover that musician Davy Jones is heir to the fortress and offer to help prove the place isn't haunted.

They soon receive a cool welcome from several people who work at the hall, claiming Jerry was there earlier but promptly left. They soon discover that the people they met at the music hall are involved in a bank holdup and are trying to keep them out in order to stage a getaway.
